Changing Text Size

You can adjust the size of nearly all the text on this website by using the font size setting in your browser. This setting is found in the 'View' menu of most browsers.

You can also use the Text Size widget which can be found in the top bar of the website.

 

Access Keys (using the keyboard instead of the mouse)

The GSH site uses the standard UK Government Access Keys system. This system allows navigation to specific areas of the site using keyboard shortcuts. The access keys used on this site are listed below.

* Skip navigation on any given page allows you to bypass the navigation areas and go directly to that page's main content.


If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, hold down the Alt key, press the appropriate access key and then press the Return key.

If you are using Netscape/Mozilla/Firefox, hold down the Alt key and press the appropriate access key.
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer on a Mac, hold down the Ctrl key and press the appropriate access key.

Compatibility

This site can be accessed using any browsers but it is best accessed using IE7+ and Firefox 3+.

The GSH website meets the Web Accessibility Initiative's (WAI) conformance level 'A' standard (Priority 1) with the majority of 'Double-A' Standards also met.

All pages validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict and use structured semantic markup.
